| Jesus M. Giordano Jesus M. Giordano, 61, of Wharton, NJ died Monday December 1st, 2008 at home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Uruguay, he emigrated to the United States in 1975. He had resided in Lake Hopatcong and Dover before moving to Wharton thirty years ago. Son of the late Rafael and Evangelina (Maidana) Giordano, Jesus had played professional soccer at his home in Uruguay with the “Huracan Buseo”. He had worked as a machine operator for the Thatcher Glass Co., in Wharton from 1976 – 1984. Later, he became the owner/operator of the New Wharton Painting and was active until 2006. Jesus was a loving and kind man willing to lend his helping hand to anyone in need. He earned the title of “great friend” to many as well as the best husband, father and grandfather. Pre Deceased by his brother Juan Carlos in 1986, he is survived by his beloved wife, Eda, his sons Adrian and wife Sarah of Archbald, PA, Alejandro of Wharton, NJ. His daughter, Karina of Oldforge, PA, his grandsons Jordan Nasir and Phillip. Also survived by his four brothers, Rafael, Alberto, Oscar and Jorge, as well as his sister Rosa Verdun. As well as many other friends and relatives.Viewing will be held Thursday, December 4th, 2008 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the SMITH-TAYLOR-RUGGIERO Funeral Home, One Baker Ave. (Rte 46) Dover, NJ. Funeral Service will be at 5:00 PM following the viewing at the funeral home.
