Mary E. Apgar

Apgar, Mary E. age 81 of Vestal, NY died Tuesday December 1, 2009 in The Vestal Nursing Center Vestal, NY following a long illness. Born in Morristown, NJ she had resided in Dover, Roxbury and Belvidere, NJ for many years moving to New York State in 2004Daughter of the late Freeman and Margaret Blanchard, Mary was a graduate of the Boonton High School, a Loving homemaker and had worked many years as a service worker for the dietary dept. of the former Dover General Hospital. An avid bowler, Mary also enjoyed crafting as well as playing bingo. Pre deceased by her husband Harry R. Apgar in 1999; she is survived by her Son David A. Apgar of Ledgewood, NJ her daughters Linda L. Runyon of Phillipsburg, NJ and Barbara J. Glodek of Endicott, NY.  Mary is also survived by her five grandchildren and one great grandchild.   

Funeral services will be held Saturday Dec, 5thth, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the in the SMITH-TAYLOR-RUGGIERO Funeral Home 1 Baker Ave. Dover, NJ. Interment will follow in the Locust Hill Cemetery Dover, NJ. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday Dec. 4th from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.

Dear Apgar Family, Our family and yours were very close growing up together. We were like family. Mary was a wonderful woman and so was the rest of your family. Our hearts go out to all of you. May she rest in peace. She is now with her husband, my Mom and Dad. They are all together as a family. Love Charlene and Family
