Edward Duda, Sr.

Duda, Edward S. Sr. age 87 of Mine Hill, NJ died Saturday May 5th, 2007 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Randolph Twp., following a brief illness. Born in Ledgedale, PA, Mr. Duda had resided in Mt. Hope, NJ before moving to Mine Hill in 1958.

            Son of the late Hilary L. and Anastasia (Jedesko) Duda, Edward was a US Army Veteran Sergeant First Class serving during WWII. For thirty years he worked at the Piccatinney Arsenal in Dover, NJ retiring as a Material Manager in 1985. A member of the Mine Hill American Legion Post 391, the Kenvil VFW, as well as the VFW Post 9023 of Hawley, PA,  Edward was a Parishioner of the St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church Succasunna. 

             Pre deceased by his wife Florence in 1987, Edward is survived by his sons Edward S. Jr., of Netcong, and William and his spouse Barbara Duda of Succasunna. Also survived by his daughter Geraline (Geri) A. Costa of Morrisville, PA as well as his sister Genevieve Remillard of Vermont, and his six grandchildren. 

               Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of Smith-Taylor Ruggiero Funeral Home, #1 Baker Avenue (Route 46), Dover, NJ.

Hey Dad, we sort of kept your house in the family. you sure did have a lot of crap to get rid of. We miss you and even though you did not want any funeral we had a nice little graveside service because of your niece Vivian, Brandon played taps, you would have been very proud. Love you Dad.
