| Marie E. Rubury Rubury, Marie E. age 100 of Sparta, NJ died Tuesday January 13th, 2009 at Barn Hill Nursing Home following a short illness, Mrs. Rubury was also a resident of Dover for 94 years before moving to Sparta in 2007. Daughter of the late Otto Junkermann and Lena Filler, Marie was a 1929 graduate of All Souls Hospital Nursing Program in Morristown, NJ. She worked many years at Dover General Hospital in the maternity ward as a RN and later worked at the Boonton Medical Group for many years before retiring. In the 1940's she served on the Dover PTA. In 1953 she was elected to the Dover Board of Education and served for two terms. She was a past president of the Dover Womens Club and served as past president to the Leisure Club Seniors with the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Dover, NJ. She was a member of the Morris County Womens Club. She was also an active parishioner with Sacred Heart RC Church in Dover for over 90 years. A loving and caring individual, Marie was pre deceased by her husband Francis C. Rubury in 1981. Survived by her son Frank G. Rubury of Sparta, NJ as well as 2 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 16th, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home at One Baker Ave., (Rt. 46) Dover NJ 07801. Burial to follow at St. Cecilia's RC Cemetery, Rockaway, NJ. | |||||||||||
