Smith - Taylor - Ruggiero Funeral Home

Nicholson, Daniel age 69 of Newark, NJ died Monday January 21st, 2008 at home in Newark, NJ following injuries sustained in an Apartment Building fire. Born in Dover, NJ he had resided in Dover and Rockaway for most of his life moving to Newark ten years ago. Son of the late William and Elizabeth (Gould) Nicholson, Daniel served in the US Army, and worked for many years as a self employed Master Carpenter.  Daniel was pre deceased by two grandchildren. Survivors include his sons William and Daniel Jr. Nicholson, his daughters Brenda Nicholson, Carole Brown, Victoria Ott, Melissa Smith and Suzanne Nicholson. Also survived by his brothers Frederick, James and Stephen Carman as well as his sister Marianne Pfeiffer, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
