| Harry B. Roth Harry B. Roth, 94, formerly of Montclair, died March 23rd at the Franciscan Oaks Health Center in Denville. Born in New York City, Mr. Roth lived in Montclair for more than 40 years. He was a self-employed gemologist for many years, working out of the New York Diamond Dealers Club, before retiring in 2003. Prior to that, he was employed as a waiter at New York’s Stage Delicatessen. Mr. Roth served as a lieutenant in the Army during World War II. He was stationed in the Alaska Theater of operations. In the 1930s he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, building roads and facilities in Yellowstone National Park. Harry B. Roth was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years Pamela (nee Doyle), his brother Captain Alexander Roth Jr., and his sisters Rita Doniger, and Dorothy Haines. He is survived by his daughter Denise Rose and her husband Richard Rader of Willingboro; daughter Alexandra Roth and her husband Peter Overby of Falls Church, VA; son James C. Roth and his wife Karen, of Rockaway; son John B. Roth of San Francisco CA.; and four grandchildren, Graham and Norah Overby and Alexander and Nicholas Roth. In his memory, donations may be made to The Montclair Chapter of The American Red Cross, 63 Park Street Montclair, New Jersey 07042, where he was a long-time blood donor.
